Well, the tree series of the Gay Boxing are very interesting. The theme first, impacts me a lot. I didn't know that It can exist and your explanations remain me other sociological/anthropological "cases" like this. Philippines is a very creative and intriguing country. About your photos: as usual, a spetial touch with a good way to be very close to your subject and the people that you are documenting way of living. I like this type of document and you are doing it very well. Well done, amigo.
Saludos!

To me, boxing is always b&w, always gloomy.

They look so...gay, as in happy. LOL

Wow, lots of people watch it.

Love the top picture :-)

kikomeister

the first pic's great.

i'm sure they put the gloves on not for boxing but so they won't scratch each others faces with claws. hehehe

bw

Do they actually hurt each other or box just for laughs ? :)

Ruth

I'm really curious how this phenom came about just in the Philippines, if that is truly the case. Maybe you will be the investigative photographic journalist to reveal it to the world.

The two guys in the second photo is quite familiar to me...

Now this is really a admirable thing when a society integrates stereotypes in such normal fashion that there is no need for processions and battle to be recognized.
